Microdermabrasion facial

One of the most gentle and painless ways to remove dead skin cells is microdermabrasion. The excellent results of this procedure have made it very popular among wishing to get rid of enlarged pores and fine lines and restore skin elasticity, healthy look and an even, clean surface. Such cleaning promotes increased production of collagen and elastin in the body. These two proteins are responsible for the tightened skin.

Microdermabrasion is performed by the specially designed machine. Steady vacuum moves the finest micro crystals onto the skin surface which remove the superficial layer of the dead skin cells. As a result we have lighter, smoother and younger looking complexion. Microdermabrasion can be performed on any area of concern.

Microdermabrasion may help with issues like:

  • Wrinkles
  • Fine facial lines
  • Sun damage
  • Skin discoloration
  • Superficial scarring (including from acne)
  • Age or sun spots
  • Stretch marks
  • Blackheads
  • Enlarged pores
- THE AESTHETIC BENEFITS OF MICRODERMABRASION
  • A microdermabrasion treatment exfoliates your skin by sloughing off the top layer of dull, lifeless, and/or flaking skin, which in turn ramps up collagen production. But what are the benefits of this? By sloughing off dead skin cells and the dull top layer of skin, you can reasonably expect to see dramatic changes in your skin’s texture, tone, and color after one session.

Is microdermabrasion suitable for me?

If the goal is to get rid of superficial acne scars, blotchy skin, large pores, age or sun spots, fine wrinkles or uneven skin tone and texture, you are a perfect candidate for micro dermabrasion. All skin types and colors can be treated with microdermabrasion.

What are the advantages?

The main advantages are low risk and rapid recovery compared to the other more invasive resurfacing methods such as dermabrasion, chemical peeling, and laser resurfacing. Since microdermabrasion produces only a very superficial depth of skin removal, it works best on improving conditions on the surface of the skin such as early photoaging (sun damage), fine lines, age spots, acne, and superficial scarring, although the results are not dramatic. Although the face is the most common area for microdermabrasion, any skin area, including neck, chest, back, and hands, may be treated.

Microdermabrasion is a painless and noninvasive. Typical microdermabrasion sessions can last anywhere from five to 60 minutes. Minimal to no recovery time is required after microdermabrasion and most people immediately return to daily activity after a session. Makeup and nonirritating creams can usually be applied right after microdermabrasion. Studies have shown that microdermabrasion can even temporarily facilitate the absorption of some topical medications through increasing the permeability of the skin.

Microderm helps to gently remove “plaque” and skin debris. Since human skin typically regenerates at approximately 30-day intervals, skin improvement with microdermabrasion is temporary and needs to be repeated at average intervals of two to four weeks for continued improvement. Multiple treatments in combination with sunscreen, sun avoidance, and other skin-care creams yield best results.

Contraindications for the microdermabrasion

  • presence of open sores and fresh scarring
  • herpes, acne (active stage)
  • diabetes and chronic diseases on the stage of decompensation
  • rosacea
  • hypersensitive skin

Does microdermabrasion hurt?

Microdermabrasion treatment is painless. Some patients have reported some heat like a mild sunburn. You may feel some mild discomfort, but as microdermabrasion treatment continues, your skin gets used to the exfoliation. It feels like the mild facial massage from a special wand. Your face may appear a little pinkish in the first 24 hours, but you should not experience any itchiness or pain.

Post microdermabrasion treatment care

  • 24 hours to avoid exposure to the sun
  • use sunscreen with a protection factor of not less than 30 SPF
  • several days refrain from physical exertion, sauna and hot bath
  • 24 hours do not apply make-up
  • use a moisturizer of your skin type
